Astrology is basically a study of the influence of distant cosmic objects, stars and planets there changes and effects on human lives. It depends on the position of the sun, moon and planets at the time of people’s birth. It is said to shape their personality, prediction of economic fortunes, romantic relationships, among other divinations. Yet, there are numerous other practices called “meditation” that have nothing to do with Blavatsky’s definition. Many of these practices are quite useful. Some are not; and some may actually be harmful.
Before choosing a practice of meditation, we might ask ourselves, “What am I trying to do?” A number of common responses to that question are these:
-Feel more peaceful.
-Get over anxiety or grief.
-Overcome pain, physical or psychological.
-Improve my health.
-Break negative habit patterns.
-Become more sensitive.
